I got the following message when trying to delete a workspace in tiki 3.0 beta.

^Sea Surfing (CSRF) detected. Operation blocked.^

I checked my configuration in Admin -> Login
Protect against CSRF with a confirmation step -> unchecked
Protect against CSRF with a ticket -> checked

I had to change the configuration for this

Protect against CSRF with a confirmation step -> checked
Protect against CSRF with a ticket -> unchecked

With both checked it doesn't work either.

Is the configuration we need to delete workspaces secure enough? I pretty much don't know what CSRF is. Sorry.

Due to some performance issues in the current server during an intrusion attempt to this site, image galleries were disabled temporarily on this edu.tw.o. (just in case, since most url calls seemed to be directed to image galleries)

Everything seems back to normality, and then, image galleries (where many images from the AulaWiki documentation were located) are back nowadays.

Please, report here if you see any further issue in this site.

AulaWiki Mod 1.6.2 tested on Tiki 2.2 and working! :-)

Hi all:

After many hours between yesterday and today, merging fixes by axold, pingus and some from myself, I can say that AulaWiki 1.6.2+ is back working on Tiki stable (2.2 right now, but also on 3.0 as of today () ).

Untill mods.tw.o becomes updated with 1.6.2 (and not just 1.6), you can install it directly from the mods repository from this server.

Thus, set in your tiki,
^
Mods remote server: http://edu.tikiwiki.org/mods
^

And install it from here.

Known issues are (so far) just theme related issues: adapting the .css and .tpl top be fully displaying AulaWiki resources in the right place, etc.

Feedback welcome.

Hi everyone, my name is Ben, and yes, i am still a newbie () I work with Rober and Aldo in the development of Aulawiki. My question is: how can I install it "by hand"? I know the principles: download aulawiki and unpack the content in the mods dir. But i noticed that there are some sql commands I should run first. Tell me if there's something else I should do or is everything all right with downloading & unpacking in mods dir.

Thanks in advance ;)

Thanks to Rodrigo (welcome on edu.tw.o, btw!), some of the issues that had aulawiki unable to work on recent 1.10 are being fixed.

For those interested, were are updating the ((ToDo)) page with the state of the art, and discussion can be held here on this forum (if there was too much activity, we could move it to devel, but for the time being, I would say we'd better focus on a single forum to comunicate among all of us interested in using Tiki in educational scenarios.

Ah, and I?ve updated edu.tw.o code with the latest svn files (from today).

Remember to report bugs and wished on [http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tracker5]

wikis vs. threaded forums

Just passing this along... There's a nice article in [http://www.uic.edu/htbin/cgiwrap/bin/ojs/index.php/fm/index|First Monday] that includes a comparison of threaded discussion forums and text–focused Wikis, in educational settings.

__Abstract__:
''The purpose of this study was to improve the quality of students’ online discussion of assigned readings in an online course. To improve the focus, depth, and connectedness of online discussion, the first author designed a text–focused Wiki that simultaneously displayed the assigned reading and students’ comments side by side in adjacent columns. In the text–focused Wiki, students were able to read the assigned text in the left column and type their comments or questions in the right column adjacent to the sentence or passage that sparked their interest. In post–participation surveys, data were gathered about students’ experiences in the text–focused Wiki and prior experiences in threaded discussion forums. Students reported more focus, depth, flow, idea generation, and enjoyment in the text–focused Wiki.''
